Announcement: Schedule Changes Coming!

Sometime around the end of March I decided to move to a 3-day a week schedule with an “Intro to” series on Mondays, “This Week In Linux News” on Fridays, and “Distro Reviews” on Wednesdays. This has worked out fairly well for the last 2.5 months or so, but I feel it’s time for a change.

I know quite a few people enjoy the “Intro to” series’, but it’s just not that practical. Taking 6 or 7 weeks to teach something is difficult and, I’ll admit, a little frustrating. Trying to juggle distro reviews, weekly news updates, and remember exactly what I have and haven’t talked about in a particular how-to series is harder than it sounds.

In addition, being tied to making exactly 3 videos per week with a 100% set-in-stone schedule makes community interaction really difficult. I don’t know how many videos I’ve been asked to make that I just couldn’t because of the schedule. I know, I know, I’m in control of the schedule, since it’s my channel, and that’s why you’re here today. :)

With that in mind, I’m proposing the following schedule changes, effective immediately:

  • Monday: Distro Review
  • Tuesday – Thursday: 0 – 3 videos, containing user requests, perhaps lesser-known distro reviews, etc.
  • Friday: TWIL News

Now you’ll notice on Tuesday – Thursday it says “0 – 3″ videos. That’s not to say I plan to stop making videos in the middle of the week. I definitely do. In fact, if anything, I’ll probably be making MORE videos!

Like I said earlier, I’m going to be starting the new schedule immediately, but I do still plan to do the Gentoo review on Wednesday, so keep an eye out for that.

As always, thanks for watching and I’ll see you next time.

Sounds good, love the videos and the work you’re doing. Congratulations on your success so far! You’re making it so easy to switch to Linux. Keep it up!
