    [..YouTube..] I’ve got a question?
My Oracle VirtualBox doesn’t work preperly these days, i can install ubuntu and fedora but after i restart the won’t boot, WTF?

  2. zhoulingyu says:

    [..YouTube..] @thisweekinlinux
Thanks. So I can still use apt-get command.

  3. Shakez76 says:

[..YouTube..] Nuther good one. I would defo say Dell or possibly Asus as they seem to be on top of the netbook market and their hardware lineup is impressive for small machines that linux rox on.

  4. hblamo says:

[..YouTube..] I have a feeling it will be HP, tho Dell has been more “ubuntu friendly” in the past.

  5. Tarnus88 says:

[..YouTube..] Since Dell already sold ubuntu-net and notebooks i would also bet on Dell.

  6. natewiebe says:

[..YouTube..] I would have to guess Asus. Not only do they have a bunch of linux products, but in the new branding wiki for ubuntu, the site mockup had an asus computer. Plus I prefer asus over dell. =P

  7. [..YouTube..] I never get enough of hearing about proprietary software and remotely exploitable vulnerabilities. Is there a drinking game out there for that? Or are they all too drunk to post about it.

Thanks for your channel, “thisweekinlinux”, it’s a treat!

  8. Tinfoilpain says:

[..YouTube..] I actually think it might be lenovo/IBM they seem to have been using linux/unix for longer time.

  9. ACPCalin says:

[..YouTube..] Reply to the comment question: Apple (iPad)

Naaah… I’m kidding :P I bet it will be Dell too.

  10. CHVNX says:

[..YouTube..] Fuck yeah to free music. I’ve got a a few unreleased metal demos that I recorded just myself. I also have 2 punk rock albums recorded that havent been released, and again, all me on every instrument.

To top it off, I have hours of free noise for download ar archive dot org. Just search for CHVNX on their site.

  11. CHVNX says:

[..YouTube..] @zhoulingyu apt-get is not aptitude. You can use apt-get to reinstall aptitude.

  12. lbaquerizo says:

[..YouTube..] well flash crashes a LOT for example playing zynga poker in facebook. That never happens in chrome or firefox in windows but in linux it crashes every five mintes or so and makes gaming really anoying. any tips?

  13. [..YouTube..] @lbaquerizo What version of Flash are you running? If you right click on a flash video and go to “About Adobe Flash 10″, it’ll take you to the Adobe site and tell you. If it’s not 10.1, look into updating to the newer version.

  14. lbaquerizo says:

[..YouTube..] @thisweekinlinux i am running shocwave flash 10.1r53. So first let me thank you for answering my questions no one has done that and I have tried every distro possible so the only one that can handle the facebook applications its zorin os 3 64 bit and mandriva on 32 bit but crashes lets say at best 10 minutes after you star playing the same its with youtube videos screen freezes and you can not pause or fast forward or control the volume

  15. [..YouTube..] @lbaquerizo It’s odd that Zorin 64-bit would run it, since it’s just Ubuntu with extra things. Perhaps they handle flash differently… perhaps they were using the 64-bit alpha of flash that’s gone now?

  16. lbaquerizo says:

[..YouTube..] @thisweekinlinux I know and pardon my English since I am from South America but i have tried Ubuntu and Mint that don’t know why i love it but that glitch its just annoying. I have and Hp dv2000 laptop dual boot win7ultimate and like I have said before in the other partition i have tried at least the most popular distros i even tried PCLinux os like in your review and did not work either like mandriva makes an annoying sound when you turn off the computer. I am worried any tips?

  17. lbaquerizo says:

[..YouTube..] @thisweekinlinux by the way try playing zynga poker and you will see what i am talking about.

  18. [..YouTube..] @lbaquerizo I just tried. it requires tying one of your social accounts (myspace, facebook, yahoo, whatever) to it, and I’d rather not do that, but the flash seemed to play decently on my laptop on the main zynga site.

  19. lbaquerizo says:

[..YouTube..] @thisweekinlinux I know but when you decide to see it you will know what I am talking about. And if you try you can always erase the applications so no longer can be tied to your account.

  20. [..YouTube..] I know this is late, but what about the TouchBook by Alway Innervating

  21. [..YouTube..] @fatheroftwins06 I just looked it up. It’s neat that they’re going to offer all those options, though the hardware looks to be more on the level of a smartphone rather than a tablet / netbook, doesn’t it?

  22. lbaquerizo says:

[..YouTube..] I know finally what the problem is. It’s because of the 64 bit os. I tried with ubuntu 32 bit and the flash worked also with mint and mandriva so at the end I guess flash does not work properly in 64 bit distros so once again thanks for taking time answering my questions.

  23. [..YouTube..] @lbaquerizo Ohhh, good to know. I’ve got 64-bit Arch Linux on my laptop, and I’ve had an issue with Flash crashing in it. Something to do with some issues related to nspluginwrapper. If you were to stay on 64-bit, it might be worth looking at the newer versions of Chrome / Chromium that have flash bundled with them.

  24. lbaquerizo says:

[..YouTube..] @thisweekinlinux i hope you can fix it but in my case i just did a fresh intall of ubuntu 32 bit and pluff poblem solved no more crashing no more bugs

  25. Dante1969 says:

[..YouTube..] Hi, don’t know if this is a related problem.
But opening youtube sometimes (Too much times), most of the preview pictures are not opened.
It hangs on somethings like “Ytimg waiting”.
    Sometimes no preview were loaded.
    Ubuntu Hardy , Firefox 3.6.6
Remains the fact that Epiphany is Way Faster in video rendering.
    Bye Dante

  26. [..YouTube..] @Dante1969 it shouldn’t be related, since the picture previews are images, not video, hmm. Perhaps a network connection problem, or youtube problems. I know things are supposed to be a bit rough at YouTube for hte next day or so.
