Very nice review. I have a couple of questions, but I have something to first that I think is very necessary:
I was going to make some cheap comment when I saw the Elmo video, like “Yeah right.. SURE it’s for your son”, but then I saw Glee.
Ahem. Glee trumps Elmo.
Your son is officially cooler than you.. lol
My question is: I didn’t see any option for browsing local content. I assume there is one but is hidden in the menu structure?
And what are the specs of the device?
Again nice review. I’m looking forward to seeing more.
Cheers.
heh, you’re very right. My son is about 1000% cooler than I am.
There’s an option for local content (USB) on the more expensive model. There’s also a channel and an app you can get to browse network-based content. I’m planning to install that and review it eventually.
Some reason, I can’t find much in terms of hardware specs… just outdated info (old models)
why does tis company name its product roku “XD”?
XD laugh!
I have had the Roku for about a year and I am very pleased. You should think about starting your own channel. I watch your youtube videos on it and it’s great.
I’ll have to look into that. Thanks for the suggestion!
